Uzbekistan National Team won three gold and bronze medals on the first day of the rating tournament in Greco-Roman wrestling, in Istanbul.

Uzbekistan’s Islomjon Bakhromov won an unconditional victory over the Moldavian world champion Victor Ciobanu. Mahmud Bakhshilloyev fought with the Norwegian athlete Morten Thoresen and won with a score of 5:2. Rustam Assakalov won the third gold, defeating the Finnish wrestler Arvi Martin Savolainen. Muminjon Abdullayev won the bronze medal.
