Uzbekistan has a worthy place among other countries in terms of the development of culture and art, including music, cinema, dance, theater, and architecture. Representatives of the country, with the support of the Art and Culture Development Foundation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, actively participate in international events in different parts of the world.
On May 20 this year, the 18th International Architecture Biennale will open in Venice. Uzbekistan National Pavilion will start its work within the framework of this forum.


UzA employees are in this ancient city to widely cover workshops, roundtable discussions, and other events that will be held by the program of the event.
Uzbekistan’s ancient monuments and historical buildings are presented in a special pavilion of Uzbekistan. Presenting unique examples of architecture and centuries-old architectural traditions at this central forum will undoubtedly develop fine arts and architecture projects and further popularize the national heritage.

Representatives of more than sixty countries are participating in the traditional 18th International Architecture Biennale, which takes place in the legendary city of Italy with well-preserved historical buildings. Each country’s team uses its motto to attract the audience’s attention.

In Uzbekistan’s project “Unbuild Together”, a special place is given to the ruins of ancient fortresses in Karakalpakstan, the heritage of the Khorezm civilization, and samples of traditional bricks. Versatile and dating back to the ancient period, brick materials, the “building blog” of Uzbek architecture, will undoubtedly attract visitors’ attention.



The exhibition “Unbuild Together” reflects various facets of Uzbekistan’s architectural heritage. The research project focuses on the past in search of the necessary funds to jointly build the present and the future.
Ajou University in Tashkent is a project partner. In January this year, workshops, excursions, theoretical discussions, and roundtable discussions on this theme were organized in Uzbekistan with representatives of “Studio KO”, students, and professors.
