Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ravshan Usmanov met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia Kamarudin Jaffar.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects for enhancing multilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Malaysia.

The main attention was paid to the issues of further intensification and strengthening of cooperation within the framework of international organizations, in particular the UN, the OIC and other multilateral platforms, including by supporting mutual initiatives.

The Malaysian side was informed about the large-scale reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan in all spheres of society and the state, including the policy of the country’s leadership to support the development of Karakalpakstan.

The parties reached an agreement on the continuation of diplomatic contacts for the practical implementation of the existing significant potential for enhancing collaboration in the above areas.
