Uzbekistan, Malaysia universities discuss the possibility of implementing joint educational and research projects

On May 27, virtual talks were held between the Rector of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent Jamshid Inoyatkhodjayev and Vice-Chancellor of the Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation Hari Narayanan with the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia.

The Malaysian side was informed about measures of the Government of Uzbekistan for the progressive development of high-tech industries and computer engineering in the country. The role of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent in training competitive specialists in mechanical engineering, information technology and programming in industry for many enterprises of the country was noted.

The parties exchanged views on the possibilities of implementing joint educational and research projects. They expressed interest in developing cooperation in software engineering, the use of artificial intelligence in industrial processes, big data, cybersecurity and the Internet of Things.

The possibility of introducing academic programs in these specialties, organizing advanced training courses for faculty, exchanging students, conducting joint research in advanced technologies, as well as publishing scientific articles and works was also discussed.

The parties agreed on priority practical steps, in particular, on the exchange of mutual proposals and their comprehensive study with the prospect of signing a Memorandum of Cooperation and developing joint projects.
