The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia organized a visit of Joseph Adaikalam, the Executive Chairman of Binary University of Management and Entrepreneurship, to Uzbekistan to further develop the activities of the branch of the university in the city of Urgench.

Prospects for expanding the network of cooperation and implementing joint projects with Uzbekistan educational institutions were discussed during the visit.

The delegation of the Binary University held negotiations with the leadership of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education and several universities of the country, the Agency of Presidential Educational Institutions, the State Inspection for Supervision of the Quality of Education under the Cabinet of Ministers, the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation, the hokimiyats of Khorezm and Samarkand regions.

At the meeting in the Hokimiyat of Khorezm region, joint plans for the development of the academic and scientific components of the university branch in Urgench, issues of attracting additional foreign specialists, launching student mobility programs, equipping the university with educational, methodological and scientific literature, enrichment of information and library resources were discussed.

Negotiations were also held at Tashkent Financial Institute, based on which the Uzbekistan – Malaysian faculty “Binary Graduate School” has been operating since 2019.
