The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Malaysia, Karomiddin Gadoyev, met with Chang Lih Kang, the Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation of this country, in Kuala Lumpur. At the meeting, prospects for bilateral cooperation in high technologies were discussed.
The Uzbek side informed about the large-scale activities being carried out in the country to introduce digital technologies, develop science and innovation, and create favorable conditions and benefits for foreign technology companies.
The Malaysian side highly appreciated Uzbekistan’s efforts in these areas, noting the country’s rapid development as a regional center of innovation and start-ups. Both sides expressed interest in intensifying cooperation and sharing experiences.
During the talks, specific areas of cooperation were discussed, including digital technologies, the commercialization of scientific developments, and the implementation of joint startup projects. Special attention was paid to the intensification of cooperation between technology companies, technology parks, and research institutes of the two countries.
Following the meeting, agreements were reached on organizing mutual visits, exchanging experience, and implementing new projects in ICT, artificial intelligence, bio-, space, and water-saving technologies, energy efficiency, and cybersecurity.
This meeting highlights the desire of Uzbekistan and Malaysia to strengthen partnerships and enhance cooperation in areas of key importance for the innovative development of their economies.
