The Ambassador Ravshan Usmanov and Chairman of Hextar Global Group Erwan Bin Mohd Tahir held talks on the development of mutually beneficial trade-economic cooperation, in Kuala Lumpur.

The Malaysian side was informed about the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026, ongoing reforms to advance the development of the national economy and ensure high growth rates, measures being implemented to support private business, which is the engine of the modern economy. It was noted that business opportunities for foreign investors had been created in Uzbekistan. The participants were also informed in detail about the process of constitutional reforms carried out in Uzbekistan.

During the conversation, the head of the Malaysian company noted positive economic changes in Uzbekistan. He also noted that the Malaysian company is interested in cooperation with Uzbekistan’s businesspeople, and the country’s convenient geographical position in this area serves as a unique hub for exports to neighboring countries. The parties expressed interest in implementing joint investment projects within the cooperation framework.

Following the meeting, agreements were reached on implementing joint investment projects in renewable energy sources, chemical products and agriculture in cooperation with a Malaysian company, as well as the export of chemical fertilizers from Uzbekistan to Malaysia.
