On September 9, the 30th anniversary exhibition season of Iteca Exhibitions – Global Textile Days – will open at the Uzexpocentre NEC in Tashkent. The event will bring together more than 250 companies from 22 countries.
This important and highly anticipated event for the international business community includes: the 16th Central Asian International Exhibition of Equipment and Technologies for the Textile and Garment-Knitwear Industry – CAITME; the 25th anniversary International Textile and Garment Industry Exhibition – Textile Expo Uzbekistan; as well as a rich business program, B2B meetings, and presentations. The event is organized by the Iteca Exhibitions and its partner, ICA Eurasia Group.
Clothing and textiles are an essential part of human history. They reflect the technological level of a civilization’s development and can tell us what technologies were used in material processing. The social status of the finished product reflects the culture of the community in which it was produced. This includes product quality, reliability, compliance with modern standards, environmental aspects, use of the latest technologies, and more.
It is no surprise that textile equipment plays a key role in the market, as it forms the foundation for the production of fabrics, knitwear, and nonwoven materials, enabling the manufacture of a wide range of products – from clothing to industrial textiles. The functionality of this equipment determines production capacity, which in turn contributes to economic development and the preservation of national sovereignty.
On the eve of the launch of the international project – Global Textile Days in Uzbekistan – the exhibition organizers held a meeting with media representatives, during which they spoke about the significance of the upcoming event for the textile industry, providing manufacturers with a unique opportunity to learn about current trends and directions in the sector, as well as the latest textile equipment models. It was emphasized that at the current stage of development, Uzbekistan faces strategic tasks, including the further advancement of the textile industry, which contributes to sustainable economic growth and employment. A new impetus for a fundamental transformation of the sector to international standards was given by the establishment of the Agency for the Development of Light Industry with a $200 million fund, as well as the President’s announcement of the “100 Impact Days” program to support the industry.
According to the organizers, the upcoming exhibition will provide domestic manufacturers with an opportunity to explore ways to expand their business, access new markets, and enhance the competitiveness of their products. Notably, over the years of holding textile exhibitions in our country, they have served as a starting point for many leaders of textile machinery manufacturing to enter the Uzbekistan market, where they have been active in both partnerships and joint production and investment projects.
