Ambassador of Uzbekistan Kadambay Sultanov has met with the new Minister of Education and Science of Latvia, Anita Muižniece.

The parties exchanged views on the prospects for further building up cooperation in education, including strengthening the normative-legal framework for interaction, improving the quality of student exchanges, and deepening interaction through interuniversity partnership.

Anita Muižniece positively assessed the achieved level of cooperation in education.

The parties discussed issues of organizing the next meeting of Uzbekistan – Latvian Standing Commission on Cooperation in Education, interaction with leading Latvian universities in technical sciences and medicine at the department level, as well as practical aspects of the implementation of the achievements of the TEMPUS program and the Bologna Process.
