Kyrgyzstan’s Bishkek hosted a forum dedicated to the tourism potential of Uzbekistan regions.
The forum, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Kyrgyz Republic together with the Kyrgyz Association of Tour Operators KATO, was attended by representatives of the tourism industry of Samarkand region. Their presentation “Samarkand – the tourist gateway of New Uzbekistan” aroused special interest among the forum participants.

“Until today, we only knew that Samarkand is rich in historical sights, but now we also know how many directions of tourism are developed there”, said Executive Director of KATO Nurbek Saparov.
According to statistics, citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic are among the top three tourists who visited Uzbekistan in 2023.

“The Tourism Forum has become successful and productive for us. We have held fruitful negotiations. I think new acquaintances will serve mutually beneficial cooperation”, said Mukhtar Jumayev, head of the tourist transport company and forum participant.
