Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association has held a meeting with representatives of the Association of Light Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic “Legprom”, the administration of the General Directorate of Bishkek Free Economic Zone, as well as the head of AZIAR company.
According to Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association, the parties discussed the prospects for increasing the supply of textile products from the two countries and agreed on mutual visits and participation in specialized exhibitions.
The Kyrgyz partners highly appreciated the development of Uzbekistan’s light industry.
Following the talks, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the companies.
As previously reported, on March 11-12, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov paid a state visit to Uzbekistan and discussed with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev the current issues of the bilateral agenda. The Leaders of the two countries reaffirmed the need for strengthening collaboration, primarily in trade and customs, investment, industrial cooperation, transport, water use, energy, ecology, cooperation between defense departments, the fight against terrorism and religious extremism, and the expansion of cultural and humanitarian exchange.
