Uzbekistan – Kyrgyzstan relations develop

Counselor of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to Uzbekistan Kemel Sadykov noted that cooperation in the fields of politics, trade, economy, transport communications, banking and finance, science and technology, industry, agriculture and water resources, tourism and other spheres is actively developing between the two countries.
Thanks to the firm political will and tireless activity of the Presidents of the two countries, mutual economic and trade cooperation is actively developing. In particular, within three months of this year the trade turnover amounted to 72.7 million US dollars. This is 47.12 percent more compared to the same period of the last year.
Relations in the sphere of tourism have been intensified. According to the reached agreements, videos on the tourism potential of the two countries are broadcasted on TV channels of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. An agreement has been reached with the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan to improve the organization of recreation for employees of regional enterprises and organizations of Uzbekistan in the health resorts of Issyk-Kul. The first group of visitors left for Issyk-Kul on June 21 by train along Tashkent – Bishkek – Balykchi route. In general, this year a trip of more than 511 thousand of our compatriots to Issyk-Kul is planned.
In the transport and communication sphere, measures are being taken to increase the number of flights, organize new rail and bus routes and expand the scale of road, rail and air transportation between the two countries. The automobile corridor Tashkent – Andijan – Osh – Irkeshtam – Kashgar is opened. Tashkent – Bishkek and Bishkek – Tashkent flights are increased to three times a week. By the end of the year, it is envisaged to open the bus routes Osh – Andijan, and Batken – Bishkek, Isfana – Bishkek routes running through Tashkent.
