Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva received a delegation led by the Deputy Toraga of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurlanbek Azygaliev.

The delegation arrived in Uzbekistan to attend the regular meeting of the inter-parliamentary commission on cooperation between the Oliy Majlis and the Jogorku Kenesh.

It was noted that there is a solid foundation of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Common history and similarity of cultural and spiritual values play an important role in the relations between the two countries.

The Chairperson of the Senate noted that serious attention is being paid to continuing actions to strengthen cooperation with the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan and to maximize the potential of bilateral relations.

In turn, Nurlanbek Azygaliev noted that inter-parliamentary relations, which have been developing at an accelerated pace in recent years, play an important role in relations between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.

At the meeting, an agreement was reached on cooperation and exchange of views on issues of bilateral and regional significance.
