A delegation led by Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, paid a working visit to Kuwait.

Talks were held with representatives of the Government of Kuwait, business circles, and financial institutions, as well as the second meeting of the Uzbekistan – Kuwait Joint Intergovernmental Commission. Sheroz Shodiyev, a representative of the Office of the Business Ombudsman, attended the meeting.

At the meeting of the commission and bilateral talks, issues of deepening investment cooperation, expanding bilateral trade, establishing cooperation in the oil and gas and petrochemical sectors, logistics, supplying aviation fuel to Uzbekistan airlines, as well as expanding exports of fruit and vegetable products, mutual recognition of standards, and accreditation of laboratories were discussed.

Bilateral trade has increased more than fivefold over the past five years.

As part of the visit, the delegation participated in the Uzbekistan – Kuwait Business Forum and the “Made in Uzbekistan” exhibition.
