Kuwait’s Al-Jarida widely covered the Uzbekistan – Kuwait Business Forum, which was held in the capital of this country on February 16 with the participation of more than 100 specialists – heads of large companies and financial institutions.

During the conference, the Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investments, Noora Al-Fassam, and the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, discussed issues of mutual investment and financial cooperation in detail.

The agriculture, textile industry, mining, energy, petrochemicals, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, infrastructure, logistics, communications, and tourism were identified as priorities for further partnership development.

The event also included B2B and G2B negotiations, as well as, national products’ exhibition. As a result, the two countries’ entrepreneurs established new contacts and discussed technical aspects of joint projects and trade supplies.

Following the event, several investment agreements and trade contracts were signed with officials and heads of large companies, which will significantly expand relations between Uzbekistan and Kuwait and increase trade volumes between the two countries in a short time.
