Uzbekistan – Korea: Vision of the Future
On November 30, Tashkent hosted a workshop on “Uzbekistan – Korea: Vision of the Future”.
In the first half of the next year, the visit of the President of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae-in to Uzbekistan is expected. Within the framework of preparation for the high-level summit, on November 30 a workshop was held on “Uzbekistan – Korea: Vision of the Future”.
The event, organized at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was attended by representatives of relevant ministries and agencies, research and analytical centers of the two countries. Prospects for cooperation in trade-economic, investment, transport and communications spheres were discussed.
The first plenary session of the workshop was devoted to the issue of deepening the political cooperation between Uzbekistan and Korea. The history, current state and prospects of cooperation between the two states were considered at the session.

The session was devoted to further prospects of economic relations, transport and logistics, energy and innovation, scientific, educational, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
Following the event, the participants agreed on further development of full-scale relations between Uzbekistan and Korea, continuation of expert observations aimed at finding new horizons of cooperation.
