On August 25, ISRS hosted a meeting with a delegation from the Republic of Korea led by the Executive Director of Korea – Central Asia Cooperation Forum Secretariat, Vice President of the Korea Foundation Rhee Jong Kook.
The delegation included heads and specialists of leading analytical centers, representatives of research and education institutions in Korea.
The parties discussed the main results of the “Uzbekistan – Korea: A look into the future” expert forum held in Tashkent on August 23 this year, organized by ISRS together with Korea – Central Asia Cooperation Forum Secretariat.
Views were exchanged on promising areas for further deepening bilateral cooperation.
The participants highly appreciated the current state of relations between Uzbekistan and Korea, brought to the level of a special strategic partnership in 2019.
Following the meeting, agreements were reached on continuing joint work to further strengthen multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Korea through scientific-practical events.
Possible bilateral and regional projects in 5+1 format, mutual internships of Uzbekistan and Korean researchers, as well as joint research on the most pressing issues of mutual interest were discussed.
