Members of the delegation led by the Chairman of Korea – Uzbekistan Parliamentary Friendship Association Park Kwang-on arrived in Samarkand.

Deputy Hokim of the region Rustam Kobilov met the guests at Samarkand Railway Station.

The guests got acquainted with Mirzo Ulugbek museum complex, Khoja Doniyor mausoleum, Shahi-Zinda complex and other attractions. The rare historical objects in Afrasiab Museum aroused great interest among the guests.

“Relations between Korea and Uzbekistan have a 1300-year-old history”, says Park Kwang-on. – This is evidenced by wall paintings found in the ruins of ancient Samarkand and stored in Afrasiab Museum. One of them depicts a ceremony at which the ruler of Samarkand receives ambassadors from several countries, in particular, our country. Our task is to further strengthen and develop friendly relations and cooperation.
