Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan expand economic partnership

Under the leadership of the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan S. Umurzakov and the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan R. Sklyar, intergovernmental negotiations were held via videoconference.

Under the leadership of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan S. Umurzakov and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan R. Sklyar, intergovernmental negotiations were held via videoconference to discuss the mechanisms for strengthening the economic partnership between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

The parties discussed the current state of implementation of the initiative on establishment of the International Center for Trade and Economic Cooperation (ICTEC) and the progress achieved in consistent work to remove existing trade barriers.

Measures to strengthen industrial cooperation between the two countries within the framework of the identified priority areas were also considered.

Following the videoconference, the corresponding roadmap was approved to expand and deepen cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in industrial cooperation.
