A meeting was held with the Assistant to President – Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gizat Nurdauletov as part of the 17th meeting of the SCO Security Council Secretaries.
Issues of ensuring regional security, as well as the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation between law enforcement agencies, special services and defense departments of the two countries were discussed.
An agreement was reached on further strengthening the legal framework for security cooperation, holding joint events within the framework of bilateral working mechanisms for practical interaction.
The importance of the mechanism of meetings of the Secretaries of the SCO Security Councils and its importance in coordinating efforts to ensure security in the space of the Organization, including in Afghanistan, was noted.
Joint initiatives and recommendations for further improvement of Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan cooperation in this area were announced. The importance of maintaining the accumulated intensive dynamics of relations and giving them further impetus was emphasized.
