Nur-Sultan hosted a meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov and Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin.
According to the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, issues on enhancing multifaceted cooperation in political, investment, trade-economic, transport-logistics and cultural-humanitarian spheres were discussed. It was noted that active cooperation has been established at the level of governments, ministries and agencies of the two countries in solving common tasks and implementing mutual agreements.
The Third Interregional Cooperation Forum and the 19th Meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Bilateral Cooperation were held on the eve of the visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kazakhstan. The Ministers exchanged views on the effectiveness of the events.
The parties expressed their readiness to support the approval of several new acts in a short time defining the forms of investment, trade and industrial cooperation. Mutually acceptable solutions have been developed that meet the interests of the two countries. The parties exchanged views on the implementation of major investment projects, increasing the volume of mutual supply of goods.
The next stage of interaction on the promotion of joint initiatives and cooperation programs was determined following the event.
