The Ministry of Digital Technologies has organized the Uzbekistan – Japan Forum, which is devoted to the development of cooperation in information technology.

The event brought together leading IT industry leaders, investors, and experts from Uzbekistan and Japan. The participants discussed issues of attracting investments in the rapidly developing digital sphere.

Advisor to the Minister of Digital Technologies, Sakurai Akihiro, stressed that Uzbekistan and Japan have great potential for cooperation in the IT sphere.

It was noted that in 2023, only one Japanese resident was in the IT Park, and by the end of 2024 – 10, three of them were engaged in the export of IT services. Japan and Uzbekistan IT companies and B2B meetings and networking sessions were presented at the event.

The forum demonstrated the desire of Uzbekistan and Japan to strengthen cooperation in information technology and open up new opportunities for joint projects and investments.

Following the event, another three Japanese companies expressed interest in opening offices in Uzbekistan.
