The Embassy of Uzbekistan organized a videoconference between employees of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan and the Japan Primary Care Association (JPCA).
The parties discussed the issues of primary healthcare in rural areas and family medicine, training medical personnel, as well as exchanged views on the priorities for the development of this sphere in the two countries.
The participants got acquainted with the activities of Japan Primary Care Association in the development of primary healthcare, which pays great attention to training general practitioners and family doctors, as well as certification of their professional activities.
The Japanese side positively assessed the possibilities of cooperation with Uzbekistan and is ready to study specific areas of primary healthcare for interaction.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on maintaining close working contacts and organizing another videoconference with the invitation of representatives of the Japanese Ministry of Health, medical universities, as well as rural doctors and nurses.
