Uzbekistan, Japan enhance cooperation in education
Ambassador of Uzbekistan Mukhsinkhuja Abdurakhmonov has met with the leadership of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan.
The parties discussed cooperation in education, possible aspects of assisting Uzbekistan in teaching the Japanese language, including by sending relevant specialists, educational materials, providing Uzbekistan’s educational institutions with access to databases, curricula of Japanese universities, STEAM education development.
The prospects of opening schools (preschool, primary and secondary) according to Japanese standards in Uzbekistan were considered.
Minister Hagiuda Koichi proposed to consider the issue of opening Japanese-standard technology colleges – educational institutions specializing in technical specialties, where students study after graduating from junior high school.
