The State Museum of Applied Arts and the History of Handicraft of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted an event organized by the Cultural Heritage Agency together with the Italian Association Asso Restavro, ITA (Italian Trade Agency) and the Embassy of Italy in Uzbekistan.

Director of the Cultural Heritage Agency Shakhriyor Nurullayev opened the event. He told the guests about the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan in preserving cultural heritage, that a step had been taken towards a new stage in the protection of our tangible values.

The purpose of the workshop is the implementation of the first stage of the project of cooperation between well-known Italian restoration organizations for the restoration and repair of cultural heritage sites in Uzbekistan.

Within its framework, the Italian side will inspect the objects of the tangible cultural heritage of Uzbekistan in Samarkand and Bukhara. Joint restoration and repair work will be carried out at the selected sites.
