Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aziz Voitov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Uzbekistan Agostino Pinna.

The Minister noted the active development of cooperation between the two countries in the agricultural sector. The establishment of relations with the Ministry of Agricultural Food and Forestry Policies of Italy, the organization of the exhibition “TuttoFood-2023” on May 8-11 in Milan was discussed.

It was noted that Uzbekistan is actively developing the export of agricultural products. Today, Uzbekistan supplies more than 80 types of fresh and processed fruit and vegetable products to almost 100 countries.

10 entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan will present their products at the exhibition “TuttoFood-2023”. A stand “Made in Uzbekistan” will be organized.

Issues of establishing cooperation with such leading Italian companies as Parmalat (dairy products, turnover – $6.6 billion), Cremonini (meat and meat products, turnover – $4 billion), Ferrero (confectionery products, turnover – $12 billion), Lavazza (coffee, turnover – $1.1 billion) were also discussed.
