A virtual meeting has been held between the leadership of Italy’s Confindustria Firenze and Uzbekistan’s Uzcharmsanoat, Uztuqimachiliksanoat and Uzbekipaksanoat Associations.

The meeting was held to promote the development of the export potential of the textile, silk and leather industry of Uzbekistan, as well as to attract Italian brands to these spheres.

The Uzbek side expressed interest in enhancing cooperation in design and fashion, which would include not only joint development and production of new models of clothing and footwear, but the exchange of experience, training, internships, as well as workshops and webinars.

Representatives of Confindustria Firenze noted the need for creating an institutional base and platform for cooperation between companies of Uzbekistan and Italy in design and fashion in all three industries – textile, silk and leather.

The Italian side announced the readiness of Confindustria Firenze to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation with Uzbekistan’s Uzcharmsanoat, Uztuqimachiliksanoat and Uzbekipaksanoat Associations.
