Recently, representatives of electrical engineering industry enterprises, led by the Chairman of the Uzeltechsanoat Association, Mirziyod Yunusov, visited the Republic of Azerbaijan on a business trip.

As part of the visit, Mr. Yunusov met with Deputy Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Samad Bashirli.

It was noted with satisfaction that trade and economic relations are developing between the two countries. Friendly meetings between the heads of the two states and ties between business community representatives have intensified.

A Memorandum of Cooperation in the electrical industry and several other areas was signed as part of the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Azerbaijan on August 22-23, 2023. In accordance with this memorandum, it was decided to implement a project in Azerbaijan to produce household appliances and aluminum radiator heaters.

At the meeting, attention was paid to implementing the tasks specified in this document. During the discussions, the Uzbek side informed about the project parameters, technical and economic indicators. According to the Uzeltechsanoat Association, following the talks, the parties agreed to implement these projects, locate them in special industrial zones, provide benefits, and make appropriate changes to the legislation. Also, at the meetings, it was decided to develop a bilateral roadmap to speed up the implementation of projects.
