Yesterday and today, we all witnessed significant events in the lives of our countries. After the Uzbekistan people elected their President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev made his first visit to Azerbaijan. This, in turn, testifies to Uzbekistan's high appreciation of fraternal Azerbaijan and is also a vivid example of friendly relations at the level of the state, peoples, and heads of state.

Along with the numerous state meetings and the signing of several bilateral documents, a landmark and essential event has entered the history of Azerbaijan – Uzbekistan relations – the opening of Mirzo Ulugbek Secondary School No. 1 in Fuzuli today. We would like to express our deep gratitude for such a significant gift to the Azerbaijani people. This is significant for the Azerbaijani people, as the Karabakh issue was a big wound in our hearts, and the return of our lands is a triumph of justice. Fraternal Uzbekistan was the first of our friends who expressed a desire to take a direct part in restoring the Fuzuli district. The school is named after the great Uzbek scientist Mirzo Ulugbek, which is symbolic. Starting from the first grade, every student will always keep in their heart the love and memory of how fraternal Uzbekistan has always supported Azerbaijan in its brave deed of returning its lands and restoring the historical integrity of its territories.

I had the opportunity to visit Uzbekistan five times, four times before 2016, and the last one was two months ago. In this regard, I would like to note the positive changes that have taken place in Uzbekistan over the past 5-6 years. All this makes fans of Uzbekistan rejoice and be proud of its success. Uzbekistan today is like a star shining in Central Asia. I am confident that thanks to the efforts made by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Uzbekistan will continue to move forward toward its bright future confidently. And being a fraternal people, we will observe the success of friendly Uzbekistan and feel special joy for it.
