Uzbekistan, Ireland to cooperate in the agro-industrial sphere
16:38 / 2021-02-22

Virtual talks have been organized between representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and the National Bank of Uzbekistan with Sustainable Food Systems Ireland (SFSI) and Irish Development International (IDI).

The parties exchanged views on prospects for the development of agriculture and the food industry in the two countries, as well as discussed the possibilities of establishing cooperation in these spheres.

Taking into account the fact that SFSI is the main organization of Ireland for the development of relations with foreign countries in the agriculture and food industry, readiness was expressed to establish mutually beneficial cooperation with Uzbekistan.

The IDI noted the possibility of assisting Uzbekistan in the development and practical implementation of conceptual and regulatory documents not only in agriculture but also in all areas of economic development.

Following the talks, the parties agreed to continue the dialogue and organize a visit of a delegation of Irish companies to Uzbekistan to further discuss the details of practical cooperation.
