Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva met with Vice-President for Women and Family Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ensieh Khazali.
At the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of developing bilateral cooperation, further strengthening inter-parliamentary ties between the two countries, and expanding partnerships within international structures.
The guest thanked for the warm welcome, noted the intensification of practical visits of representatives of parliaments, governments, and entrepreneurs between the two countries, and expressed confidence that the full implementation of the documents signed between the two states regarding cooperation in various fields will certainly bear fruit in the future.

“Reforms are being carried out at a fast pace in Uzbekistan, we have seen it with our own eyes”, Ensieh Khazali emphasized. – In particular, legislative acts protecting women’s rights are being improved, and their role and place in society are increasing. It is certainly admirable. In this sense, both countries are interested in exchanging experience and establishing cooperation.

Following the meeting, held in a friendly atmosphere, an agreement was reached on further strengthening cooperation in implementing long-term plans and projects.
