The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan and Hankyu Travel International organized a presentation in Tokyo on Uzbekistan’s tourism potential.

The event brought together representatives of leading travel companies and organizations, local journalists, and famous bloggers.

Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Japan Mukhsinkhuja Abdurakhmanov emphasized that tourism has become one of the key drivers of the country’s economy in recent years, noting the created conditions for foreign guests and promising tourist destinations. Particular emphasis was placed on cooperation with Japan. According to the Ambassador, in 2023, the number of Japanese tourists visiting Uzbekistan increased 4 times compared to the previous year.

Hankyu Travel focuses on enhancing its tourism partnership with Uzbekistan and presents new travel packages that will go on sale in July.

Within the framework of the event, a special tourism corner of Uzbekistan was organized, where guests can become familiar with tourist guides, maps, national crafts, textiles, ceramics, and other products. Uzbek national dances and songs were presented by Guliston ensemble. In addition, the participants could taste dishes from the Uzbek national cuisine.
