The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the Embassy of the country in Iran, organized a virtual workshop on cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).

The event was attended by representatives of the ministries of justice, economic development and poverty reduction, energy, health, transport, finance, the Central Bank, the Anti-Corruption Agency, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, tax and customs committees, as well as the Oliy Majlis Commissioner for Human Rights.

The participants were informed about the goals and objectives of the organization, the main directions of its activities, as well as the priorities of Uzbekistan in cooperation with this international structure, determined by the President of Uzbekistan within the framework of the 14th ECO Summit on March 4 this year.

Following the event, representatives of government agencies and the Embassy of Uzbekistan agreed to intensify cooperation with the ECO Secretariat and member countries of the organization.
