The Indonesian outlet “Voice of Indonesia” published an article about the participation of the delegation of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Culture in the Chandi 2025 summit, which took place in Indonesia.
The article notes that during the three-day conference, representatives of Uzbekistan held a series of meetings aimed at strengthening cultural cooperation.
Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Indonesian Heritage Preservation Agency, Hashim Djojohadikusumo, emphasized that this event, held on the island of Bali, would make a significant contribution to the development of cultural cooperation not only in the region but also worldwide. Deputy Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan, Yusufjon Usmanov, speaking about the long-standing history of relations between the two countries, mentioned the theatrical performance dedicated to Imam Bukhari and Sukarno, which was organized in April 2025, as proof of cultural rapprochement.
“Six areas of cooperation have been prepared: production of films, exchange of specialists, holding the Days of Uzbekistan in Indonesia, and so on”, said the head of the Uzbekistan delegation. “All this should be reflected in a Memorandum of Understanding”.
A meeting was also organized with Indonesia’s Minister of Culture Fadli Zon.
“We want to hold the Chandi 2025 conference, which is becoming a promising platform in the cultural sphere, next year in another city”, Fadli Zon said.
