A delegation led by the Director General of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations Kumar Tuhin visited Samarkand State University.

The Rector of Samarkand State University, Senator Rustam Kholmurodov met with foreign guests. Members of the Indian delegation also met with students and teachers of this higher education institution.

At the meeting, several practical proposals were put forward and considered for further developing and enhancing the existing collaboration with Indian higher education institutions and research centers, the creation of additional opportunities for Uzbekistan students to study at leading Indian universities, and an increase in the number of grants.

The guests visited the Archaeological Museum of Samarkand State University and became familiar with unique samples of the past. They were greatly impressed by the activities of the Indian Center established at the University.
