Ambassador of Uzbekistan to India Dilshod Akhatov has met with the Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports of India, Kiren Rijiju.

The Minister of State of India was informed about the youth policy being implemented in Uzbekistan, modern training programs, targeted work being carried out to provide young people with jobs, develop entrepreneurship, as well as about the activities of the Youth Affairs Agency of Uzbekistan, organized in June 2020.

Issues of cooperation in the youth direction, organization of joint events, startups, and Uzbekistan – India Youth Festival, were considered.

The Minister of State of India highly appreciated the state policy on youth issues in Uzbekistan and noted that the announcement of 2021 in the country as the Year of Supporting Youth and Public Health Promotion is a clear confirmation of high attention paid to this area in the country.

The parties agreed to develop and sign a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Youth Affairs Agency of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of India.
