On December 24, an event dedicated to the opening of Uzbekistan – India Entrepreneurship Development Center was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

On December 24, an event dedicated to the opening of Uzbekistan – India Entrepreneurship Development Center was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

It was attended by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Adkham Ikramov, Director of the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India Sunil Shukla, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Uzbekistan Vinod Kumar, as well as business representatives.

The agreement reached on organization of Uzbekistan – India Entrepreneurship Development Center is aimed at improving corporate governance in the country, encouraging participation of human capital in implementation of advanced international models and standards in this issue.

The government of India has allocated more than 800 thousand USD for financing the Uzbekistan – India Entrepreneurship Development Center. The center will promote the introduction of modern approaches and scientific achievements in retraining and advanced training of personnel in entrepreneurship. It will also develop recommendations for representatives of business circles, analyzing the results of research, supporting scientific developments serving to the effectiveness of activity of industrial and business entities.

The center is provided with modern information and communication technologies. Experience sharing programs and practices, as well as roundtables, workshops and conferences on training business leaders in a competitive economy will be organized here for local, Indian entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs of companies from other countries.

Advanced training courses were organized in India for 16 professors and teachers from Tashkent Financial Institute, Fergana and Gulistan State Universities, Gulistan Art College in order to attract local personnel to the center’s activities.
