Uzbekistan – India: dialogue of cultures
The National Electronic Media Association and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in India organized events dedicated to cultural-enlightenment relations of the two countries.
Within the framework of the media event organized in India, the National Electronic Media Association and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in this country with sponsorship of Eriell company organized events dedicated to cultural-enlightenment relations of the two countries.
“Uzbekistan – India: dialogue of cultures” exhibition has been opened at the National Museum of India on September 25, which aroused great interest among local community.
First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan S.Safayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to India F.Arziyev, Secretary of the Ministry of Culture of India A.Goel, Director General of the National Museum of India B.Mani and others noted that the upcoming state visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to India will open great prospects for bringing multifaceted bilateral cooperation to a new level. Confidence was expressed that the joint exhibition will serve to form even wider and deeper understanding of rich cultural heritage of Uzbekistan people.
A documentary film about large-scale reforms carried out in Uzbekistan under the leadership of the Head of the country, conditions for fruitful cooperation in many areas, including, cultural-humanitarian sphere was presented at the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
Prospects for development of bilateral cultural-enlightenment ties were discussed at the official reception ceremony held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in India. Representatives of official and academic circles of the two countries focused on joint study of unique documents stored in museums and related to cooperation between Uzbekistan and India.
At the scientific workshop on “Cultural heritage is a bridge of Uzbekistan – India dialogue”, well-known scientists of the two countries discussed issues of further developing cooperation, prospects for implementation of new projects and intensification of scientific-enlightenment exchanges.
Activities within the framework of the media event were also held at Jamia Millia Islamia and Jawaharlal Nehru Universities in Delhi, at India Islamic Cultural Centre.
