The Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with the Management Development Institute of Singapore in Tashkent and the international scientific journal “Science and Innovation”, organized an international scientific and practical conference on “Problems of improving the position of Uzbekistan in international rankings and indices: theory, practice and strategy”.

The conference was attended by representatives of ministries and agencies, experts, scientists, young researchers, and journalists.

Rector of the Academy of Public Administration, Professor Adham Bekmuradov noted that international ratings and indices are a tool accepted by the world community as the primary condition for economic development in assessing the quality of the institutional environment in the world.

The conference received more than 500 scientific articles and theses from politicians, scientists, and foreign researchers, from which 200 of the most relevant were selected. For each article, a DOI was obtained and placed in the international scientific databases Indeks Copernicus (Poland), European Zenodo and Open Aire, Cyberlinenka (Russia), and EuroPub (England). They are also indexed in the international scientific search engine Google Scholar. This allows researchers worldwide to use articles and abstracts published during the conference freely.

Each index is interconnected with other indices and ratings. The conference created a solid basis for identifying problems, developing solutions, and exchanging experiences. Expert recommendations will be an essential guide to improving Uzbekistan’s position in international rankings and indices.
