Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Hungary Oybek Shakhavdinov met with the Director General of the Hungarian Heritage House, Miklós Both, in Budapest.

The Ambassador informed about the development of museums in Uzbekistan and the opening of the Jadid Heritage Museum and noted that these initiatives aim to preserve and popularize the cultural heritage of the Uzbek people.

The participants noted the two countries’ common interest in deepening cooperation in culture and heritage, stressing the importance of preserving traditional museums and organizing new ones. The Hungarian side expressed its readiness to support Uzbekistan in developing the museum business and preserving cultural heritage.

An agreement was reached to hold joint cultural events, including the participation of a Hungarian folklore group in the upcoming Sharq Taronalari Music Festival in Uzbekistan.
