BMB Trade Group (Uzbekistan) and Kiss Group (Hungary) signed an Investment Agreement, via videoconference, for the production of sunflower oil in Jizzakh region.

Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Vienna Abat Fayzullayev noted that the signing of an Investment Agreement for the production of sunflower oil in Jizzakh region is a direct result of the agreements reached between the leaders of the two countries during the official visit of the Hungarian government delegation to Tashkent at the end of March 2021.

Ambassador of Hungary to Uzbekistan Peter Santo noted the dynamic development of multifaceted cooperation and the intensive contacts at various levels. According to him, this cluster project is very important, modern and promising in the trade and investment sphere of cooperation.

According to the signed document, the design capacity of Uzbekistan – Hungary joint venture provides for the processing of more than 200 thousand tons of sunflower seeds per year. The total cost of the project is over 90 million euros, of which 52 million euros is foreign direct investment.
