In Uzbekistan, together with the Society of the Blind of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Justice, a meeting of the Asian Blind Union was held in Bostanlyk district.
The event, organized within the framework of the social project of the Ministry of Justice, “We are together!” was attended by 60 international delegates from 21 states, including three representatives from the Society of the Blind of Uzbekistan, as well as over 30 experts.
Views were exchanged on the work carried out by the Asian Union of the Blind over the past six years, particularly on the lifestyle of persons with disabilities, the opportunities created for education, and advanced training. The financial report of the Asian Blind Union was also discussed and approved.

In accordance with the program of the event, the issue of introducing additions and amendments to the Charter of the Asian Blind Union was discussed, a report on the activities of the organization was presented, and a new leader was elected.
At the workshop, organized within the framework of the meeting, the participants discussed recommendations for removing the barriers faced by people with visual impairments when switching to digital education and using online services.
Mutually beneficial memorandums and agreements were signed with the World and Asian Blind Unions.
