Tashkent hosts the Third Arbitration Week of Uzbekistan (UzAW-2023).
The event, organized in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, the Tashkent International Arbitration Centre (TIAC), and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), is an essential platform for the exchange of experience in international commercial arbitration.
The event was attended by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Davron Vakhabov, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan Shukhrat Polvonov, Director of the USAID Mission in Uzbekistan David Hoffman, British Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for the Ministry of Justice Mike Freer and Director of the Tashkent International Arbitration Centre Diana Bayzakova. They noted that the meeting would be an essential step in protecting the rights of entrepreneurs and foreign investors, further developing international arbitration, and strengthening cooperation.

A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Its goal is interaction in raising international community awareness on the recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards by courts.
During the week, discussions will take place on several relevant issues of international arbitration, particularly symposia, working meetings, and roundtable discussions.
