Uzbekistan hosts a workshop on the application of international treaty norms

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Supreme Judicial Council, the Higher School of Judges and the Representative Office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Uzbekistan organized a workshop on the issues of applying the norms of international treaties when judges consider conflicts in economic matters.

The virtual event was attended by judges for economic affairs from the regions and judges of the judicial collegium for economic affairs of the city of Tashkent.

The training was conducted by the Professor of the Martin Luther University of Germany Azar Aliyev.

The speakers drew attention to such issues as the procedure for the application of international norms ratified by Uzbekistan in ensuring justice, practical problems arising in the application of international norms, ways to solve them, and providing judges with relevant information and regulations.

The need was noted for the development of recommendations for judges on the application of international law.
