Following the success of Uzbekistan's 18-year-old handball players at the Paris World Games 2025, the country’s young handball players achieved another notable milestone – winning gold at the Interamnia World Cup 2025 in Teramo, Italy.

The handball players of the Republican Olympic and Paralympic Sports Training Center defended Uzbekistan’s honor at this prestigious tournament, which was attended by 120 teams from 28 countries.

The U18 youth national team won all 10 matches of the tournament, and in a tense final, beat the Juno Handball Aventure with a score of 26:24, opening a new page in the history of Uzbek handball.
