Uzbekistan U20 women’s national handball team members have departed for Northern Macedonia. The World Championship in this sport will take place in Skopje.

The competition, which 32 national teams from five continents will attend, starts on June 19.

The Uzbekistan women’s national team advanced to the World Cup at the IHF Trophy Tournament, which was held in Tashkent from February 28 to March 3 this year.

Uzbekistan handball players will play in group G with Montenegro, Portugal, and Guinea national teams. Uzbekistan’s athletes will play their first match today against Montenegro.

In the second round, Uzbekistan will face Portugal, and in the third round, which will take place on June 22, they will meet with Guinea.

The World Cup will run until June 30.
