First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sodiq Safoyev met with the Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of Germany Anette Kramme.

Issues of bilateral cooperation, in particular, further strengthening political, trade-economic, social, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation and developing inter-parliamentary ties were discussed at the meeting.

German representatives highly appreciated the reforms implemented by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Uzbekistan’s domestic and foreign policy.

The importance of an intergovernmental agreement on Migration and Mobility between the two countries was discussed at the meeting.

In addition, attention was paid to the issues of establishing a stable supply chain of goods. The participants also exchanged views on developing cooperation in labor and employment.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on further developing mutually beneficial relations between Uzbekistan and Germany.
