13:52 / 2025-05-20

From May 11 to 18 this year, a delegation comprising representatives of 10 leading German companies specializing in technical textiles and personal protective equipment visited Uzbekistan.

The visit was organized by the GIZ, in partnership with the associations Gesamtmasche and GermanFashion, together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association.

The guests studied the operations of several textile enterprises located in Tashkent and Tashkent region and Fergana and Namangan regions. In particular, they discussed potential cooperation in producing specialized workwear, technical textiles, and personal hygiene products in Uzbekistan.

A meeting was then held between Mirmukhsin Sultanov, Chairman of the Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association, and members of the delegation, during which issues related to establishing mutually beneficial partnerships were discussed, including the implementation of joint projects and opportunities for the exchange of modern equipment and technologies.

According to the Association, the foreign guests also participated in the Textile Expo Uzbekistan 2025. During B2B meetings and thematic sessions organized as part of the exhibition, participants exchanged views on matters related to international trade.

German entrepreneurs expressed high appreciation for Uzbekistan’s textile production system, the quality of its manufactured products, and the level of professional training in the sector.

This visit is expected to advance the textile industry in both countries and support the implementation of practical joint initiatives.
