A delegation led by the State Secretary for Economy, Science and Digital Society of the Free State of Thuringia Carsten Feller is currently in Tashkent as part of the Thuringian Economy Days in Uzbekistan.

According to State Secretary Carsten Feller, Uzbekistan, in particular the development of its textile industry, is an example for other countries. He proposed to further enhance cooperation in technology transfer and scientific research of the textile industry.

At the meeting, the activities of the Thuringian Institute for Textile and Plastics Research (TITK) were also discussed.

Following the talks, the parties agreed on the implementation of joint projects and their implementation at the enterprises of the textile industry of Uzbekistan, as well as on providing links with other research institutes and companies to develop new or improved materials for future innovative products.

A Partnership and Cooperation Agreement was signed between Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association and the Thuringian Institute for Textile and Plastics Research, as well as applications for mutual membership of TITK and the Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association.
