Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov, during his visit to Germany as part of a delegation led by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held several meetings and reached agreements on the development of bilateral cooperation.

According to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, a meeting was held with the State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of Germany Thomas Rachel. The parties discussed the results of joint work and plans for the future.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to organize a competition of joint scientific projects and attract financial resources to develop a dialogue between Uzbekistan and German scientists.

The issues of organizing scientific internship programs for young Uzbekistan scientists and advanced training of scientists and researchers of Uzbekistan in advanced scientific institutions and laboratories in Germany in cooperation with BMBF were also discussed.
